'The (new) Clubman Estate
This is out latest project, a Clubman Estate . Bought from the Sunderland Mini Centre its seen active service so far as club runabout carrying all our gear to shows. So far its had new seala all round and needs some minor panelwork before the 2006 show season.
The engine needs a bit of work though, its currently running a 1275 with a cam of unknown origin and a crunchy gearbox. The plan is to build up an 8 Port engine for it, probably running on the twin delortos that came with Chris's first Arden head. Gearbox will be rebuilt 4 speed with a decent diff ratio of around 3.1. The interior will have reclining seats and proper sound deadening, for a change! The idea is to use up as many as possible of the bits and pieces we have scattered around the garage.
